Stay strong (Awesome playlist #5)

I want to dedicate this playlist for all of you who have gone through something tough. You, who have had to pick yourselves up and carry on. You, who stay strong and still believe in yourselves, even though it might be hard at times. Don't let anyone tell you what you've been through is not as bad as something someone else has gone through. Nobody could ever know how you felt in a particular situation, everyone is different. No matter if it was a bad break-up, your parents divorcing, the death of a loved one, being bullied or you're just simply feeling a bit blue for some reason. Whatever you're going through, or have gone through in  the past, just know that no matter what it is, you'll be okay. You'll survive.

I myself am going through something right now, where it kind of feels like everything is against me. But I am determined to succeed, I have ambition and I am strong and I am good enough. This is what these songs remind me of when I'm in doubt. I hope they'll help you as much as they've helped me throughout the years.
  1. Cher - You haven't seen the last of me
  2. The Script - Hall of fame ft. will.i.am
  3. Gym Class Heroes - The fighter ft. Ryan Tedder
  4. Gloria Gaynor - I will survive
  5. Bruno Mars - Never say you can't
  6. P!nk - Fucking perfect
  7. P!nk - Raise your glass
  8. Adam Lambert - Outlaws of love
  9. One Republic - Good Life
  10. Katy Perry - Firework
  11. Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten
  12. P!nk - Try
  13. Jessie J - Who you are
So there you have it. When you're feeling blue, you're doubting yourself, listen to these songs. As you may notice, some of them are about being in that dark place, and some are about how you get out of that place. Equally inspirational, since the first mentioned songs may remind you that you're not alone. And the second mentioned inspire you to stand tall and be proud of who you are.

Always remember that someone cares and you're not alone.

Show me how you Burlesque

Any movie lovers reading this? How about lovers of music in movies? Do you like listening to soundtracks? Do you like girl power? Feeling sexy? Looking at others who are sexy? Yes? Then you have to watch Burlesque. Or at least listen to the soundtrack. But you really do need to watch it. It has got one of the best soundtracks EVER. I love the movie, I love X-Tina, I love Cam Gigandet, I love Cher, I love the songs, I love the dance routines, I love the story, I love every single thing about that movie. It's sexy, exciting and just freakin' awesome. Watch it, watch it now.

My favorites from the soundtrack:

Show me how you Burlesque -Sung by Christina Aguilera

Every time I listen to this song, it makes me feel sexy and empowered. If you wanna get your self-esteem pumping, this is the song for you! Plus, it totally nails the movie.

You haven't seen the last of me -Sung by Cher

The perfect pick-me up song! It's like "Fuck the rest of the world, Imma show you!!!" It's just great. It's honest and beautiful. And this is where you first get to see Cher's character's soft side. Love it!

Welcome to Burlesque -Sung by Cher

This is where the movie really begins. It's so perfect, you just get so excited about the mystique and you become totally mesmerized with the girls and all that glam...

Tough Lover -Sung by Christina Aguilera

This is such a great moment in the movie, and the song just adds to the wonderful excitement. It's sexy and fabulous! Also a great song to listen to when you wanna boost your confidence.

So seriously, watch the movie, don't just listen to the songs (even though they're awesome anyway). If you're a guy, you may think that it's just a typical chick flick, and in ways it is, but come on! Hot girls and great music? You wanna say no to that? And you girls who think the burlesque style of dancing is "degrading to women" and all that crap, just stop. Look at them! Do they look like they're complaining? Burlesque is an amazing form of dance, and I look up to the girls who have the confidence and talent to dance like that on a stage! So shush, you!

That's all folks.

Daniel Adams-Ray

This is a Swedish artist who was once upon a time, when I was just a little girl exploring the arts of music, part of a duo called Snook. He is now a solo artist, singing in Swedish  but I wanted to mention him anyway, since he is absolutely brilliant. So if you know a little Swedish, or are interested in learning, take a moment and listen to his songs! He's a marvelous rapper and mostly raps through his songs, but with an amazing melody. This charming artist is truly a great one, and I would recommend him to anyone who likes any of the stuff I usually tell you about. Which means pretty much anyone. Although you need to like rap just a little bit. You don't need to be a huge fan of rap-music, but just enough.

Enough said, why don't you take a sec to listen to these favorites of mine:

1. Dum av dig
2. Svart
3. Vitt
4. Lilla Lady

Song titles roughly translated by me:

1. Stupid because of you
2. Black
3. White
4. Little Lady

These are all from his album called Svart, Vitt och Allt Däremellan (Black, white and all in between) from 2010. The album is his debut solo album.

The duo, Snook, I was talking about, the one Adams-Ray was part of, preformed with one of my all time favorite nostalgia song. Those of you who grew up in the 90's in Sweden ought to remember this one:

Snook - Mr. Cool

Listen to it, it's brilliant!

Ed Sheeran

Oh, the wondrous voice of this man. I realize this guy is not really the type of artist I would promote, considering that he already has fame and fortune. I just love his music so much, it seemed silly not to give him a shout out. For those of you who live under a rock, and have never heard of this gorgeous red head, I will link some of my favorite songs down below.

There's not much else I can say about this lovely musician, other than listen to him. Listen to his words, his beautiful words. He's unlike any other, with his touching lyrics and the strength in his voice. The beautiful melodies in his songs are just as beautiful as the man himself.

My favorites:

1. Give me love
2. The A-Team
3. Drunk
4. Lego house
5. Kiss me

Lately...

I haven't really been very good at this, I know. I know I always say this, but I really want to change! This time, I am not promising anything, but I'm gonna try!

So even though I've been kind of  MIA these past few months, I've still kept myself busy. I've been keeping my ears and eyes open for new bands, songs etc. to share with you!

Since I am currently in the search for "new talent", I'd really love it if you could help me out! So, if you know someone who's in a band, or if YOU are in a band, let me know! OR, if you think your favorite band deserves more attention than they're getting. As you guys should know by now, I judge no one and I love and accept all kinds of music. So you can either contact me here by commenting on a post, or contact me through Twitter (link below). Send me a link to a couple songs and also a homepage of some kind, and I'll see what I can do!
